What to call this 60s coat fabric?

Still uncertain after looking through the VFG Fabric Resource Guide. Hopsack seems to come closest to describing the fabric on this mid 60s man's coat. Tight weave and a bit hairy. Yes to hopsack? What do you think?

I believe the little hairs are probably mohair. Mohair blend basketweave tweed?

Sue, it's a pretty scratchy fabric to be mohair, which is difficult to tell from photos. More like the older rough wools.
