What to call this print?

The only thing I can think of is "lion dress" there has got to be a better word!! The print is almost like a family emblem print...... should I call it novelty? Is it novelty? Any ideas?

Family Crest Op Art style? Not truly op art because I tend to think of more bold designs when I hear that..but this does have a op art flare to it......Family crest gingham style??

I agree...it looks like some animals you see in heraldry or a tapestry. It is almost too textural to be a true novelty print, for me anyhow, but i will let the experts weigh in on that.

The brown part almost looks like it is sticking out in 3-d compared to the rest of it, but it could just be my strangeness picking that up unless it is really an overlay of trim. i think its spiffy!
