What type of fur?

Hello again,

Here is a beautiful stole that I just picked up,but I can't decide what fur it is? Long hair Mink? Muskrat? It is VERY Soft. Any ideas? Thank you!

Yes! Thank you so much! I just did a search for squirrel and came up with the exact Vintage 50's stole that I have. I wouldn't have thought of squirrel and I'm surprised how soft it is! Thanks again.

It's "mink-dyed" squirrel (ie the dark "stripes" that make it look mink-y).
