1950s dress but what kind? cocktail evening gown prom? It is also made of cotton but heavy weight and very well done.. Handmade though so it is a jacquard weave but what would I call it to make it sound intrugiung? would it qualify as damask or polished cotton? It looks like silk but is DEFFINATELY cotton.

it hangs about 4 inches below my knees and I am 5'4" so was i correct on the 50's for this? very full skirt! about a 8" metal side zip.

Thanks every one again! still learnig but slowly getting the hang of it :-)

"Vintage 50s Lipstick Red Full Skirt Party Cocktail Dress S" is how I would do it....although I didn't count and assumed on the size.
In the description I would show a good crisp closeup of the fabric and describe it as you did to us. I bet there's some mix to the fabric, with that sheen.

That is lovely!!! Make a yowser dress for the holiday
season.

And, you are starting to get the hang of it! Good for you!

Do you have a bigger closeup of the fabric?
