I would definitely put houndstooth plaid. It is huge this Fall.

I thought i was just "making it up" and wasn't aware that the two together was a proper term. Thanks :)

Well, all the Mad4Plaid I was in the winter when I stocked up is finally paying off.

I think it's commonly called "glen plaid"...part of the Fairchild's Textile Dict's definition: "a popular Scottish pattern for suiting and sportswear characterized by two checks of different sizes.......".

It can also be called glen check or glen urquhart plaid (whatever that means..!!??)

I didn't realize this was glen plaid...for some reason i thought glen was different. Thanks so much Patsy! Maybe glen urquhart meant that it was a tartan plaid from the Glen/Urquhart clan??

(and bonus...it has a dated tailor's tag August 26. 1965! And if someone buys it that day...it will be the jackets 40s b.day. i know i am weird!)

hi..looks like a 'marriage ' to m...incorporating the prince of wales check...
