What Would You Call a Dress that...Isn\'t?

I've got this 50's cotton number that looks like a dress when you're wearing it, but it actually has wide legs. Is there a term for this style? The whole playsuit/romper route doesn't quite seem to fit. Ideas?

That's darling~

In the 60's culottes had a panel at the front and back so it looked like a skirt. I agree though, prior to then what you've got would have been referred to as culottes as I remember learning that culottes definition changed over the years~

Cool (lot)! Hardee har har :embaressed:

I never would have thought of culottes OR split skirt! Maybe I'll just throw both of those terms around while I'm writing the listing. Thanks for the help, guys!
