What would you call this neckline? Draped cowl in front, scarf in back...

I have this nifty 60s silk mini dress, it has a very nice neckline that is a sort of roll in the front, not exactly a cowl, but similar, and then hangs down the back in a folded scarf. Anyone know what this is called? Thanks!

Thanks! Though I would have thought a stand-up rolled collar would be stiffer. This collar is very loose and drape-y.

To me it is a type of bateau neckline, with a stand up collar. Maybe call it a stand up collar or rolled collar (if it is indeed rolled). With that wonderful added scarf or tail, it is a nice detail. If the collar is very floppy and soft, some might call it a smoke ring, but that would go all around the neck and yours only goes half way.

To me a cowl neck has a front focus of draping that is different to the drape that continues around the sides.

Yes, you're right. The collar somehow looks so natural I thought there would be a clear name for it, but maybe not! Thanks to you both!
