what would you call this style of bag.. and help with dating

also picked this unusual bag up yesterday on my travels....
( i tend to try and go once a week round the charity shops etc..)
what do they call this style of bag ? also any ideas on the age ? its a hard one for me to age as the leather is quite dark anyway.. the only label inside just says rattan and leather and on the other side made in indonesia.. didnt know if it was totally modern but looked older.... but i totally love it... so i might keep this as for myself...lol....

I don't know what it's officially called - if there's even a name but I would probably describe it as a woven rattan and leather canteen pouch bag? It's pretty cool.
 
looks like some water carriers l've seen, perhaps fashioned in the style of..????

ye its fabric on the inside ..its all leather with the ratton panels ...its soo unusual.... maybe someone went on hols somewhere and brought it back.....

what ever it was a bargin at 50p... i very rarely take a bag out with me.. ..so i think this will look good with my 'hippy' clothes ...( i normally just wear my bike leathers...
