what\'s this type of plastic called?

i believe this to be a 1960s bag, please correct me if you think i'm wrong. Mainly, i wondered what you would call the plastic balls on the bag, ie what material are they made of? thank you

possibly lucite but would wait for an expert to weight in...doesnt look like bakelite to me and of course they could just be plain old plastic. i have a terrible time with this! cute bag. good luck.

mid-late 60s and that plastic looks lucite to me. Cute bag!
