When did Balenciaga design the SNCF Uniforms?

Not the prettiest sweater, I know, but I thought it interesting so I picked it up. I can find a few references to Balenciaga designing the French railroad (SNCF) uniforms, but I can't find out just when this was done or for how long. Anyone know?
(VFG definitely doesn't have this label in it's resource!)
Thanks so much,
~Donna

I've been doing some searching around and found a few French news sites with some tidbits. The SNCF introduced new uniforms in December 2014. The ones before that in their grey with purple or light green, as well as the bright seat covers on their TGV trains were done by Christian Lacroix and introduced in 2007. This is what I'm familiar with - I haven't seen the new uniforms yet as I haven't been on a TGV since last autumn. Some of the articles that give this information also mention that at an earlier point, SNCF uniforms were designed by Balenciaga. This article from the Libération from 1999, which is about Nicolas Ghesquière being the new designer at Balenciaga, sounds like the Balenciaga uniforms at SNCF were still in use at that point: http://www.liberation.fr/evenement/...colas-ghesquiere-enfile-l-habit-balenc_266828 This also mentions that Balenciaga was relaunched in 1986 (you can also find more on the story of the house on our label resource http://vintagefashionguild.org/label-resource/balenciaga/), and it says that "some SNCF hostesses wear Balenciaga blouses". However, this article here talks about uniforms by Ted Lapidus being introduced in 1996. So I'm guessing your sweater is from the 90s or early 2000s - I could unfortunately really not find any more exact information.
