Where to start or end on this 50\'s wedding dress...

Hi everyone!

Ok, so as it ALWAYS is with selling on eBay, I start with a bang, and REALLY love it... and then.. I just burn out. Guess where I'm at right now? Yup, you got it. Anyhoo, this has been taking up a TON of space and needs to go.
I'm at a loss, I don't know what all the lace is calling, or the chiffon stuff at the bust, or the stuff under the chiffon or the style... I mean is it even from the 50's? It's pretty heavy, pinked seams, no zipper.
As you can tell by the photos, this dress didn't exactly fit the manni, and near tears, I stopped buttoning the back. I was wayyyyyy too frustrated.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Do 50's wedding dresses even sell this time a year?

That would be great for a spring or summer wedding. Lots of May/June brides out there. (unless they are like my sister who is getting married next year but already bought her dress). Some people collect wedding gowns. There are a few labels that are particularly sought after like Priscilla of Boston. I am definitely far from expert on wedding dresses, so maybe someone else will chime in. It is lovely.
 
I checked, no labels, except I think a paper tag at the bottom and a UNION one.
Unlike your sister, I'm getting married in August & haven't even begun to look for dresses! Ack!
 
I told her NOT to get the dress fitted/altered til she gets closer with 1 1/2 years away from the wedding. :) To me this reminds me of layers and layers of heirloom lace.
 
This is so pretty and has a real Grace Kelly 'feel' to it. The tea length skirt is particularly nice too.

I know what you mean about listing. I go gung ho for several weeks and then even steaming stuff seems to be an effort and everything I look at that should be listed somehow (to me) has no appeal.

That's what I thought too - really Grace or Taylor!
It's really much nicer in person, since you can see the gauze-effect (ha ha ha, I'm pretty sure that's NOT what it's called though) at the bust.
Oh yeah.. I hear you on the gung ho then slowly tappering off thing. As you can tell, this week the manni didn't have shoes OR wigs on!
