White vintage dress pit stains

Hi!
I have this beautiful simple white dress (possibly a wedding dress) that has these very stubborn yellow pit stains. I have carefully tried to use Nellie's WOW stick stain remover, that usually always does the trick regardless of fabric type, so it also works on delicates. And it did remove some, but far from all.
I tried soaking it in water and white laundry detergent to soften up the spots, but again, barely any difference.
Then, I tried something bold and risky, and soaked it in bleached water mix over night.
And it did make the dress a bit whiter and removed some of the slight yellowing in the back. But the pit stains remain strong.

I will post pictures in ca. 1-2 hours, as I am home at the moment. Sorry! I know pictures are essential to guide me a bit :P

I can until then explain a bit how the dress is.
It is sleeveless and is quite thick as it has a double layer of fabric. I do have trouble figuring out what type of material it is. If I run my fingers across the fabric, even the slightest dry skin will catch onto it. And the lining inside seems to be delicate and not just a strong synthetic polyester, as it has some tiny holes by the inside of the armpit. If I rubbed too hard, the holes would expand easily.

I have set an alarm to not forget to post pictures!!
But please, if you have any experience with whitening delicate fabrics, please please let me know. I might not be able to get a hold of the same materials since I am in Denmark, but I could probably find similar products that contains the same things :P
- I really want this dress (and actually other dresses as well) to be hung out in the store in preparations for the annual confirmation day, where all the girls are out shopping for white dresses! I do have other white dresses with pit stains or that have yellowed, that are not as delicate as this one. Again, any guaranteed whitening processes are very welcome!!

Thank you so much <3

I might be mistaken on my initial recollection of the fabric. But here at pictures!
It also seems to have some white spots like the big one at the bottom. It does look like bleach stains, but I recall it having the big one before I attempted at bleaching it. So someone else might have attempted at fixing the stains too LOL

My best solution for soaking out not-so-recent sweat stains has been an oxygen-based non-chlorine bleach, or hydrogen peroxide 3%. For me, these actually have worked to remove bleach-set, decades-old, angry yellow underarms stains in white cotton blouses. Specific products for sweat stains did not work better.

(I cheated and copied that from my book :) )

Thank you! Are you maybe willing to link me to some products you use, so I have a reference? Or possibly, I could order the same things if they are on Amazon? :)
For how long do you soak the garments? And do you just put them in without doing anything before hand (like rubbing something on it / let it sit with a product before soaking etc)

I've had a lot of success with Retro Clean, which is specifically designed for vintage textiles and very gentle. I'm not sure what country you are in or if it would be available where you are but I can recommend it.

For those of you are unaware, Maggie has a wonderful book that she has written titled "Wear Vintage Now." It is a terrific resource and is chock full of fabulous ideas and suggestions!

I have a copy (of course!) and I highly recommend it!

I am not Maggie the author, but I'm so glad you asked!
