Whiting and Davis

Does anybody have knowledge of Whiting and Davis labels? How do you know if it is vintage or a reproduction? I am guessing this tie if from the 80s?

According to Researching Costume Jewlry, W&D stopped making mesh jewelry in 1991 - so it is vintage. I agree with dating it to the '80's.

That is a fun piece. About a week ago, I ran across a mesh halter top...to my surprise it was Made in China. Of course, it was not a Whiting & Davis but they are now reproducing mesh items in China.
