Hey! Oh I had a typo on his name oopsie! I don't think the lining is silk, its not very soft/smooth its kinda stiff. How do you tell if nylon? These are some more photos that might be helpful!

I appreciate all yalls help! I have several pieces I have been hoarding because I just couldn't find enough information or didn't know enough about them to even research. Thank you so much! I hope I don't wear yall out! I will be posting more items as I get photos taken.

I don't know, the chain is not too dissimilar to the ones shown in the photograph Nicole posted, and there is a plain framed one on the left, so those parts look period to me, but I agree with Nicole that the lining appears more modern. I suppose it could have been relined and they also put the label back in (the interior stitching, though perfectly adequate, does look a little sparse/rough), that placement is quite typical of 50's/60's handbag labels btw. In this case it might be worth looking for labels from dated examples to compare.

Sorry I am so late posting but finally had time to check. I have a few things that might be helpful and I do think your bag may be 1920s - 1930s. Although the shape of your purse is different, I found the exact design in my 1932 Blue Book Jewelry Store (see attached). Additionally, I have attached a photo of a simple gold W&D that I had a few years ago. It came in its original box and and had a lovely note from the owner about why she bought the bag and the that she had used the bag only once for the launch party for The New Yorker magazine in 1925. I even got to see photos of her at the party with her special bag - it was really neat. Long-winded but you can see from the shape of mine and the ad Nicole posted that the shape was around earlier. You can see from my 1932 catalog page that the pattern was around earlier and your chain seems to match the catalog page chains. Additionally, your label is identical to my 1925 purse...right down to placement. So that is my 2 cents - which could be worth much less :)
