Who is this woman? Who is this artist? What kind of art is this?

Alot of questions for one scarf, I know! I just LOVE this scarf. Number One this woman looks familiar.
What is this kind of art called? Up close you cant really see anything but farther away it becomes her face.
I also thought that maybe this is actually a copy of a real piece of art?
What say you?

Well, thank you Deb!
I am sooooo tempted to frame it and keep it for myself!

Wearing it at the neck would take away so much from it but also just knowing you have this secret art at your neck may be fun and a good conversation piece!

You wouldn't even see what it was about if one wore it. I would be tempted to frame it as well. Or put it on a table and put glass over it.

first look at it and I went ..... Joan Baez!! Probably not her...just made me think of her!

Very op art look. I like that!

Thanks everyone! So far I have Grace Slick, Nico and Joan Baez (some are other opinions not on this thread)
I am still not sure I am going to sell it! I think it would be rather hard to list and get the kind of lookers it deserves!

Thanks once agian!

I looked at this the other day Michelle and my first thoughts were either Natalie Wood or Ava Gardner, I know, don't laugh but that's what I see.:P

I can see Natalie Wood as well, so i am not laughing at you Tori.

Maybe it is not "somebody" but a composite...or just a made up woman and the artist couldn't help but to have some of these women in mind's eye.

I believe this is <<<1960's OP-ART>>> at least that is how I would describe it.

This is a BEAUTY!!!!
Far to PRECIOUS to WEAR!
I believe these Op-ART SCARVES are pretty DESIREABLE!!
And BLACK & WHITE...WOW!!

She reminds me of one of Mick Jagger's liasons but her name escapes me at the moment.
