Who knows vintage ITALIAN Lingerie?

I've never come across "international" lingerie, so this is very perplexing! It's a soft pink satin slip with white pothole eyelet lace trim. The label reads "Confezioni di lusso" on one side and "Mafri" on the other side, with a size 4 ( I'm assuming it's a size). I've translated it to something along the lines of "preparations of luxury" and Mafri must be the brand, as that didn't come up as meaning anything. I realise the size is a euro size, but how does one translate that? It's a pretty ample size slip, too!

Anyway, does anyone know if there's any sort of market for this or if it's something no one gives a rat's patoot about? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hahhahhaha....ok, not laughing AT you, but um....WITH you? Yeah. With you.

I don't know a thing about the sizing. What does it measure? If its bigger, like maybe a 38 or 40, I'd guess they sized by 1,2,3 & 4 as in Small, Med, Large, XL and its an XL. It looks 40s to early 50s to me. It looks like silk on the outside but the inside looks more like an acetate (you said it washed well, right?) so I bet its NOT real silk.

Larger size, satin, eyelet trim, PINK....all good.

Just wanted to use that icon.

Ahahaha...cuz that's how we roll!

Thanks Ang, I can always count on you for bailing me out! Yep, it washes well, feels smooth and slick like silk on the outside, but the inside is very acetate-y. So what do I call it then?

Acetate satin! :USEGUN:

Satin, in the title, but clarify the fiber in the description so people will know. Lots of people like it better than silk, easier to care for.

I'm slacking & should call my insurance guy.

Thanks for the 'splainin!

Yeah, you better get on it, sister! Not that it'll matter, they'll take forever to get anything done for you. Jerks.

:regan:
I have no idea what that icon is doing.
