Lovely old case. I want to say 40’-50’s but that’s a guess. The experts will know better. Is it leather?

Not leather .
Ah ok, it might date it slightly later then but I’m unsure when they started using synthetics for suitcases. I want to guess at 60’s. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

it’s incredibly difficult to to assign a maker without any signature or label.

agree with Dilly, your cute piece of luggage is definitely older, 30s into 40s. the condition looks pretty rough on the exterior, unfortunately.

has that left side on the interior pulled away? or is it a zip, i can't see well enough to figure it out. if it's just pulled out? you should be able to glue it back into place; I'd use a rubber cement rather than just school (Elmer's) white glue. I would probably clamp it to get it to hold better, too.

these were often called overnight cases due to their size, they just held a few essentials for an overnight stay. :)

I agree that it's 30's - 40s. I did a little searching and found something similar on Etsy - and there are some similar pieces for sale on eBay and other sites. Try searching for:
