Why bother with clothes when you can wear your tablecloth?!

I bought this dress because I loved it, then it arrived and (to my surprise) had the earliest Radley label (albeit very faded and dyed by the neck ribbon)....it's SO full, and the sleeves are huge (sadly I don't have the right kind of mannequin for them, could do with the one modelling my very similar Pussy Galore at the V&A at the moment). But.....what do I call this fabric? Lace? Crochet? Knit?? :puzzled:

That would look sooo good on that V & A manni, but it still is fab!

I would call the lace machine-made to resemble net darning. I'm not positive, so maybe someone can second that, or correct.
 
The V&A described my Pussy Galore dress as machine lace as well, this feels slightly different ....thicker.... which was why I was unsure but I suppose machine lace covers a multitude of these types of fabric! ;)
