Why cant I post here?

I just joined this forum but noticed there wasnt a button to click on in this forum { PUBLIC Sneak Previews } to post a new topic. Does anyone know why, do I have to be a member for some time.

Hi Retro Threadz,

Registering for this bulletin board makes you a "friend", which allows you to post comments and ask questions, but not post items that are currently for sale.

Look for the link for the "board rules", it's all spelled out clearly.

Recently there has been some confusion from people viewing the VFG forums. It seems that many people thought that anyone who posted here was an approved trade member of the VFG. Since we can't vouch for those that haven't passed our application process, we found it necessary to limit advertising & promotions by non-members in order to avoid confusion.

If you haven't already read the registration terms, you might want to do so now. They spell out the difference between "friends" and "trade members", and what is and isn't allowed here on the forums.

Don't worry! It's not you. ;) All "Friends" have the same rules.

I just recently ran into the same issue. Although I was able to post somehow, even edited a post and added a photo.

then the post "disappeared".

I think my confusion started when I misunderstood the word PUBLIC in a lot of the forum titles.

Connie, if your post violated any of the registration terms (such as the ones against advertising), your post may have been deleted by a site administrator.

The word PUBLIC in the forum titles just means that the particular forum is viewable by the public - it doesn't necessarily mean that Friends can post there.
