Why celebrities always look good...

I just finished reading Bossypants by Tina Fey (actually I listened to it on a 'book on tape' in the car...) and she has a whole schtick about photoshop. She said THE most she was ever photoshopped was on the cover of a feminist magazine!

I have a client who is a motivational speaker. He got some virtual face-lifting done by another company and I told him I would prefer not to use those pics because they'd done enough that he not only looked girly, but it was a bit of false advertising. I said I'd fix a few liver spots, some sleepy eye bags, and take the shine off his bald head, but the rest were lines he'd earned. His whole schtick was about experience as someone who'd been in the trenches of business, yet the other company had removed 30 years of age.
I just hate that people are trained to see age as ugly.

Don't get me wrong...I could do that kind of Photoshopping. I once removed a crapped out Taurus in a photo from in front of a client's building AND rebuilt the brick wall it was in front of, all without tow truck and mortar. :)

Thank you- Age is not ugly. And it's not a disease either. It's just who we are. Staying healthy is important. Pretending to be younger than we are, not so much.

Reality is beautiful people get paid higher salaries, receive lower interest rates, get better deals in general, and on and on. We all love beautiful clothes, houses, paintings, sunsets, etc. But beauty is also something we are inside. We all respond to kindness and a genuine smile!!!

The degree to which editorial pictures are photoshopped is crazy..... People begin to look very plastic.... I use photoshop as I would a darkroom.... When i do retouching The most I do is remove major blemishes and such.....
