The costuming in that is just hilarious (and I could swear I've sold a version of that titanic era-by way of the 60s hat she's wearing in the opening scene...)!

I love the way she goes through the revolving door to get her hair bobbed and comes out with--Julie Andrews' signature haircut!

"Jazz Rags" would be a great name for a vintage store...

I saw that movie when I was a kid, but the only things I remember from it (very vaguely) are the scene where she tries to clean out a spot with soy sauce, and (even more vaguely) something about being held prisoner in a chinese fortune cookie factory.

Thanks for sharing this, MaryAlice! Definitely one for the Netflix queue.

hilarious!

Love the 60s does 20s style! hehe!

Did ya'll notice that everything was totally monochromatic? Everyone was wearing shades of black, white & grey. Her necklace was a very dull shade of green that didn't disturb the B&W scheme - the only other bits of color were the apron of the newsman (tan) and the car she pulled up in at the hotel (for single ladies!) was yellow.

I've never seen this, although of course I've heard of it. I should get it to watch with Gwyn. :)

My MIL is a huge July Andrews fan - she has an entire room dedicated to photos, posters, and souvenirs. Seriously!

I'll have to borrow this movie from her, and I'm sure she'll get a kick out of hearing that it was being discussed on the VFG site!
