Win a Copy of "Fashion: The Definitive History of Costume and Style"

I was approached by the people behind the Smithsonian Channel who are producing the new TV show about vintage, "L.A. Frock Stars." They are providing 10 copies of the book for me to give away on my blog. If you haven't seen it yet, this book is 480 pages of gorgeousness and every vintage lover should have it on his or her bookshelf. I hope you'll all pop over to my blog and enter to win! Unfortunately, the offer is only available to the US and Canada. Entries must be received by Thursday, March 7, 2013.

By the way, if you haven't checked out L.A Frock Stars yet, you can watch the first episode online right now. I am really impressed with the quality of it. No cutting of hems, no hippie skirts turned into dresses. Doris Raymond and her staff respect the vintage! If you watch the first episode, you'll see why Doris turns down buying a 1930s Chanel and a 1920s Poiret. It's very informative and educational as well as a lot of fun!

Sorry for the confusion Barbara. You don't have to watch the episode to comment. You can just look at the sight and comment about something that you see or something that intrigues you. I'll be drawing the winners on Friday morning, so it's better to comment now instead of waiting. And thanks for your question!

I saw the ad on the back of a magazine I bought on my trip to the US last week and asked myself if this was something worth watching! As usual, I can't watch the video because I'm in the wrong location (it's incredible how protectionist all these channels are - I can't watch anything on BBC or ITV internet either if I've missed it, even though that's pretty much all I watch on TV these days - and pay for!). Let's hope it will come to some European channel or Youtube some time...
