Wintersun vintage swimwear parade

I'm up in Coolangatta, Queensland for the annual Wintersun festival, Australia's largest "nostalgia festival" - or rock 'n' roll and swing.

Circa's hosting a vintage swimwear parade today and tomorrow. Here are some pics from Jay Nel-McIntosh who photographed for the local paper, hot off the press -

Thanks everyone: you're quite right Linn - that's me in the polka dots. My black stockings really stand out in the sea of wonderful pale legs!

Pam, Alannah age four is wearing a '40s swimsuit her mum bought from Glamoursurf. Both are adorable, and boy did Alannah charm the crowd!

Pam, Nicole was dressing, not modeling (she flew in just before the parade, so no time for fittings). She's over on the far right of the group pic but you can't see her, as she's behind the models.

Wow, looks great! Makes me envious - our summer just isn't happening here... And to think this is winter in Queensland - it's probably still warmer than here. At least it looks like it.

Karin, I was surprised by how sunny it was in Coolangatta: it's about 1,700 km north of Melbourne but rest assured, it's decidedly wintry here back in Melbourne. Queensland is a popular winter destination for our southerners.

Wow Nicole, awesome parade, you were so close to me here in Brisbane then- I had no idea- wish I could have got down there for wintersun, but had a huge work and family stuff weekend!.
That polkadot Bikini is to die for, was that a VFG one? The model is a doll too.
So your hair is not pink anymore then?
