Women\'s shoes - confirmations on my timeline choices, etc.

I think I'm in the ballpark with most of my timelines, but I'm still a little insecure; so, if you don't mind I'm running these by you for your input.

1. Vogue Shoes "exquisite footwear" - early to mid 60's? Floral patterned silk shoe with molded leather sole (well worn, but incredibly still in good cond.)

2. Anne Klein - red leather 4"spikes - late 70's?

3. d'Antonio (for Morgans) - Brown leather pumps - mid 60's?

4. Charles Jourdan - Orange leather open toe high heels - 90's? Label looks like 80's label in resource, but heel looks more current.

5. Mondi - Oriental-themed satin brocade spikes - possibly too new to even be considered vintage and I should shelve - ???

Thank you and if I'm asking too many questions please let me know (I'm feeling a little http://www.vintagefashionguild.org/public/images/smilies/BAGUSE.gif
:BAGUSE::BAGUSE: with all my ?s).

I would agree that the last ones are more recent.
If they are in impeccable shape, however, the spike heel/ankle strap/asian brocade might appeal to someone just fine. I would list it in the regular show cat. of course.

The third ones look Mod-ish to me .. you are probably right on that one.

The orange shoes = if the size is right...they are MINE (just have a thing for orange shoes :)

Thanks, Chris! I'll have to measure the orange ones and get back to you - they look about a nine or ten B - there's not a size to be found. Unusual.

That is strange...are you sure its not inside one of the straps?
That's a bit large for me...but some other orange loving gal will be happy :)

I want the Vogue shoes and the Anne Klein shoes! What size are they? I would concur that the Vogue shoes are 60s, the Anne Klein shoes are late 70s, the brown shoes are late 60s/early 70s and that you should list the last pair because the Oriental brocade shoes are gorgeous! :)

Thanks everyone!!! Jonathan, so precise!

Mia - Vogue shoes say 6. Anne Klein's are an 8. There's a "N" above the 8 and I'm assuming that means narrow. Hope one of them is your size!

Deborah: My feet are crying because they are not narrow. Sniff, sniff-I'm disappointed. The curse of the wide feet strikes again-I saw these incredible 20s shoes at Tippecanoe's in Laguna Beach. My big toe could have worn the shoes -- again very sad! I'm a 7 1/2 to 8 depending on the designer. Thanks, though, Deborah!

What size are the brown chunky ones? I LOVE them--they look very much like shoes I had in the late 60s, only in a different color. I can't wear high narrow heels anymore due to a foot injury, and these brown ones look very comfy!

Hi Anne,
Sorry it's has taken me so long to reply - I just noticed your note today!

They're an 8-1/2, but unfortunately, they are very narrow 3A/5A - or what I think is termed triple A.

I'll keep my eyes open on my rounds.

Deborah, thanks! Oh dear, my little feet would be lost in those.... But I really like them--leave it to me to neglect the strappy, strippy, sexy spikes for low-heeled pumps, but when your feet just won't take the others, what can one do? LOL! Of course, those Vogue shoes are about my size, and my, I do like those, too!

Dear little feet? DOn't say that around here...SHHHH!

Everyone will be dropping all their size 4s and 5's at you that hardly anyone around here is fortunate enough to be able to wear.

(or speak really loud and they will start doing sneak peaks of tiny shoes hee hee )

<i>"....Everyone will be dropping all their size 4s and 5's at you "</i>

No, my feet aren't quite THAT little--LOL! Though they used to be a size 5 not so many years ago, middle age & gravity have enlarged them a bit.... But I must admit I end up buying a lot of size 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 vintage shoes & boots, thinking there must be a lot of people with that size, and I usually I don't get a lot of action on them, at least not the ones smaller than 6 1/2, because my assumption is clearly wrong....
