Wooden purse ??

Hi guys, what do you think of this vintage bag/purse? It seems intriguing. It’s crafted from gold-painted wood, featuring a metal clasp and tassel. I’ve seen similar ones by ‘Timmy Woods,’ but mine hasn't got a label tag, so I’m unsure of its age. Has anyone come across a similar bag?

I remember these - late 70s early 80s - VERY popular at the clubs because you could wear them across your body and dance without worrying about leaving your purse at the table...
