Would love some input on a Dress lot.

I had a relatively large lot of dresses up on Ebay that did not make my reserve. The lot had 50, 60 and 70s in it. My question is, should I split it up and have 50s and early 60s together in one lot (7 items), and the later 60s and 70s in another lot (10 items)? Or should I just have one large lot?

Thanks, Kelly

I think that your plan sounds sensible, from just a practical perspective of not making the lot too prohibitive in shipping costs, and also you have the chance to sell to two different types of customer. Although there are a lot of folks out there who "love it all" (me included), there are folks who are very interested in wearing and /or selling mod 60s through the 70s and that would not be as interested in the 50s, etc, and vice versa.

From a practical perspective for you, you don't have to double list both.

Thanks. I think splitting them up may be the way to go. I may even do three lots, 50s, 60s then 70s.

Thanks again!

Kelly, I have never done a lot for clothing. I have done one with colors, like a green purse, green necklace, green scarf, etc. However, I have bought lots. I think the most in one lot that I have purchased was maybe ten items.

I think I would be good to separate them into eras and see how it goes. Be sure to let us know, too!
