hello all! i haven't listed much lately and have been trying not to buy in any new stock as i can barely move at the moment for vintage everythings...and instead of spending the weekend listing in bulk as i should have done i drove around the country buying even MORE!

amongst other things, i have now come into possesion of quite a number of early british nurses uniforms. i'm not sure of the exact date, but they look quite a lot like this:

(1914 - 18?)

as you can imagine, search 'nurses uniform' on google and you get a fantastic array of pvc etc.

so, does any one know of any good sites for dating british nurses items? i've had a look at the royal college of nursing website, and the red cross etc. but am having trouble finding a good site specifically relating to the uniforms. just wondered if any else had tried before..

thank you !!!:)

haven't had time to get mine pictured yet as am busy rearranging inventory, but thought i would add the links i found so far just here incase anyone else finds them useful at any point in the future!

massive amounts of photographs, all dated (hurrah!):

nursing and midwifery history resource (uk), with useful history of uniform section:

i did find more but these were probably the most comprehensive pictorially.

will post a pic when i finally get round to listing!
