Yellow rayon (?) nightgown dating

Hi all, I'm curious about the dating of this nightgown. Full length, light yellow, long sleeves with ruffled cuff, lace on yoke and sleeve trim. Inside seams are French and hem is zigzag stitch. No overlocking, and no labels that I found (didn't examine it 100%). Material feels like rayon (cold and slippery and more wrinkled than nylon usually is). It's quite large, I am a US size large and it was very big on me.

Could be silk as well I suppose but felt distinctly cold and slippery. No belt loops as far as I recall.

In this photo is this the interior at the waistline? If it is there may have been a silk ribbon to draw it tighter.

That's the interior of the sleeve. Sorry, should have put captions. I *think* some rather frayed elastic can be seen inside where there's a small opening there, but not 100% sure. (I didn't buy it, but would like to know dating partly from curiosity and partly because I'm trying to get better at dating vintage).

Thanks, that was my guess as well. Glad to know I'm not too far out there.

Second question would be, assuming it is that date, would a style like this sell well? It's not one of those sexy pretty lacy bias cut numbers, but does have in its favour that it's a large size. I think it's gone now, but for those who sell vintage, would this be likely to have a market?
 
Bumping to see if anyone else has any thoughts on dating. I ended up going back and buying it. It is elastic at the sleeve cuffs. Now that I feel it again, I'm not sure if it's rayon or silk. There is no seam allowance that would allow a burn test, just a bit of fraying along the inner yoke seam that might yield enough. No labels for sure nor any sign of one after a more thorough check.
