You would think 40\'s on this fringed dress but....expert minds needed

Sigh.....it's going to be another one those days where I won't get anything listed because I spend to much time reading and researching... :violins:

The pictures I took of the black dresses yesterday royally suck and my dh has the camera so I can't take any new ones... :exclamation:

My 1st question of the day is this fringed dress... :info:

This dress is a silk linen, is there such a thing? It feels like linen but has a sheen to it.
I'll let the pictures do the talking for me...

I know your going to ask what kind of zipper so I'll get that out of the way right now..it is NYLON but and you know I don't tell fibs, it has been replaced because I can see where the old stitching was and the hook and eye is missing from the top and you can see that there used to be one there...

No labels...

So....ladies and gents...How old am I..and aint I purty!

Hmmm...I wonder where everybody went. there were about 15 people here 20 minutes ago...

The fringe is made of the same fabric. I can just imagine the work that went into this one....

OH! I forgot to mention, I removed a hideous floral silk half lining (from the waist to the heiny) that the previous owner had sewn around the waist seam, it was definitely not original to the dress because they used a zigzag machine stitch to sew it on, I WONDER :puzzled: if it had a label either at the side of the replaced zipper or at the waist seam and it was not put back on when these revisions were done?
 
Anyone? I really would like some more opinions on this dress, PLEASE I beg!:kiss:
P.S (hint hint) I REALLY like all the smilies over here much better, more variety.
