I have started a "new career" since I don't plan to write another sewing book--maybe a revision. And I have lots of garments to use for research.
About a month ago, I posted 3 YouTubes. They are quite different and I think you will enjoy them.
One focuses on an 1880 Worth ball gown at the Museum of the City of NY.
This video focuses on a 1971 couture Chanel and a copy sold at Lord & Taylor. The info is great for buyers and sellers because there are some specifics on both to help you determine whether it's couture.
The last video is a brief walk through the McQueen exhibition at LACMA. My focus is only on the fabrics and designs. The exhibition is much more complex.
Each is about 15 min.
Naturally, I hope you will join my subscribers. I need almost 900 more for this to provide any income, but I am enjoying examining . The next one hopefully in the near future is the Chanel ensemble I asked you about a few days ago.
