Alice of California Dress from the early 60s I believe

    Here is my awesome Dress my mother in law gave me!!! I LOVE IT! I think its from the Early 60's!
    I LOVE the bright colors :cheer:

    That is really a fun dress, the label we have in our resource which is similar dates it to the 1970s.
    I find the colors and graphics look like 1980s.

    Perhaps another one of our members will chime in with more info for you.

    The use of neon colours, bold graphic print and batwing effect all looks 1980's to me. I think it would be great as a beach cover up, or accessorized for a night out.
    Does it have another label perhaps?

    Good point from Melanie as another label can often help in dating a garment... a care label, size label or union label.

  7. The label and sunray pleats look '70s but the fluoro colours are very '80s. - but then they loved bold bright colours in the early to mid '70s too. Perhaps if we could see it being worn, we could see the shape properly.
