What is the name of this kind of fabric?

    I love this dress. Can anyone tell me the name for this type of cut work (not even sure if that describes it...)?How would it be worn? With a slip underneath? Is something missing? It has a metal zipper up the back- no tags. Thanks so much for information, as always! :)

    Looks like linen and I'm sure it was once lined with a matching under dress/slip

    It sure looks like linen. I'd say cutwork with crochet brides.

    Thanks so much for the help! I wasn't sure if cut work could be used to describe it. I thought there should be a little something more to it, if you will... wish I could have found the slip! Still beautiful. Thanks again! :)
