Hi - Any obvious clues to look for when determining if shorts are from the 40s or 50s? They seem so similar to me in all the images I've searched -- high waisted, although the 40s versions may be a bit more "skirt-like" in the leg openings. More flared. Am I right?
These cuties are quite high waisted and curvy cut -- > 24.5" waist, 36" hips, 16" rise (wow!), 2" inseam.
White Stag brand (have read up on the history, and label could go 40s or 50s, per our Resource.
They are bright white canvas with navy topstitching (I like the "tushie diamond" at back). They have no belt loops or pockets.
Not ready for real photos yet, but here are some "desk shots" for a general idea...
