I have acquired 5 vintage coats/jackets that I would love some assistance on dating. I’m thinking most of them are from between the early 1900s to 1920s. This one, I believe, is a silk velvet with tape lace. It has hook and eye closures that start at high neck and end around the waist area. Lined in silk and has a pleated silk panel behind the lace on the bottom. Some velvet flower embellishments at neck. It has buttons on the inside of the sleeves, maybe for gloves? The silk lining has a lot of shattering. Any advice on age is greatly appreciated! And I will be posting 4 more threads for the other coats. Thank you!!

What a beauty! I am seeing ca 1900 - 1910. Let's see what others have to say.

I bet this was probably part of a set originally, with a matching dress underneath. The sleeve shape suggests c. 1903-05ish to me. It would have to be fuller to be later, and body is cut wrong for post 1910 -- too full in the back.
