found this beauty this weekend and I’m thinking it looks 30s or 40s but I’m not great at dating lingerie unless it has a tag which this one doesn’t. Any help would be appreciated

To me this beauty looks to date from the late 1930s—but I'm also not great at dating vintage lingerie. I'm hoping that some who know more come along.

  6. I suspect you might have it on back to front and it's early '40s. It's lovely, regardless!

It has pinked seams rather than the later serged, which points to a 'close woven' fabric like rayon for a rayon satin(ette) mix - so probably pre-nylon days. Okay, couture lingerie seams are still pinked to this day but it all certainly points to late 30's early 40's, as others have said. They were often bespoke at that time so having no labels wasn't so unusual. Looks lovely. Jealous - grrrrr!
