    Hi all!
I have had this piece for around seven years, and when I purchased it, I was told it was an antique & from an estate. I have found some similar corsets & they appear to be from the Victorian period. Do you think this is late 1800s? Also, it appears to be a women's corset, but it has straps... not something you usually see. Any help is much appreciated.

Yes, it is a woman's corset. I'd say 1890s - 19o4ish. The straps are fine - some wearers preferred them. Do they seem to be added later? What is the fabric?

Thank you so much for your reply! I really don't know too much about the fabric, but I'm thinking cotton and maybe even silk where it is boned. The straps look very old and discolored, so may have been put on at the same time. Not too sure.
