1940s hat help!

I bought this hat on poshmark and i am now unsure if it is supposed to be more upturned at the brim, or if its supposed to be flat like a pillbox style.

I think it is 1940s ... it does have the scrunchy fabric that covers the sides of the face. Thanks!

Looks best to me upturned at the front, in the last photo. I think it is from the 1960s. It looks to be a stylized turban. The photos are not clear, but that is what I see. I love most Leslie James hats, very nice quality.
 
Barbara is our resident hat expert, so if she says 1960s, I would trust it. I am not as expert with hats, but it doesn't look 40s to me.

Sellers don't necessarily know enough to date the items they are selling accurately, especially if they don't have a lot of experience with vintage. Sometimes they come here to the forums to ask for feedback. Sometimes they guess. I've been doing this long enough that I usually have a general sense about dating - partly based on experience and partly instinct. But I am so grateful to have the wealth of knowledge available to me here.
