Another hat question... anyone know anything about this hat? Date? Brand?

Hi,

The style has a few names, but is generally referred to as a bush hat. It looks to be made of oilskin canvas, the same thing Australian raincoats (and other things) are made of. It dates to somewhere between the mid 70s and mid 1990s.

I had an outback coat of oilskin in the late 80s - it rubbed off on EVERYTHING and ruined several shirts. Australia owes me a lot of money for their oilskin crap clothing!
