Any info on J.W. Robinson’s with this label? It wasn’t available in resources. All the stores opened in 1952 onward had this logo but there was a huge gap between 1915-1952 in logo info that I could find. Based on the “Buttons LTD B’Ham” it is older than ‘71. Any info is appreciated.

“J.W. Robinson’s” is the original name of the department store. It was shortened to “Robinson’s” sometime in between the said time frame.

    Thank you.

I asked because I have a number of similar looking waist coats, some as early 1900 then late 30s, early 40s, two from memory were made by a Scottish firm called Robinsons, ( clearly not the same company ).

Your waist coat looks 50s to my eye.

No problem! Thanks for the info. I know “J.W. Robinson’s” was founded in the late 1800’s so it is possibly the same company.
