Dating a Sterling Stall Coat/Determining Type of Fur

    I’m trying to date this Sterling Stall Coat. I think it is 1970’s, but I just want to confirm that. I would also like help with figuring out the type of fur around the collar.

    Hi,

    Fur to one side, others will be able to help more, your coat looks in remarkably good condition but I don't see 70s.

    The coat looks a little Trench in influence, not surprising as in an earlier company guise Stirling Stall made military costumes.

    I see your coat as early 80s.

    I agree with 1960s on the coat. The fur does look like fox in the pictures. The coat appears to be made of wool (?) melton.
