Vintage Studded Hat

Any idea on era for this cute hat? So far, I've been told anywhere from 40s to 70s. ???

Also, what "style" of hat would you call it?

P.S. Yes, I know it has moth bites and some marks on it...I purchased from an online video sale not knowing about how much damage. I am thinking to just sell as it...I'm scared to try and clean it.

That is a darling hat. I especially love the tiny golden half moons. Looks very late 1940s to mid 1950s to me. The style could be referred to as a calot or Juliet.

IF you try to clean it, gently daub spots with something like Folex.
