    Hello again!
Can anyone help me identify the type of fur used for these coats? My grandmother always referred to them as mink but I wonder if the brown one might be sable? It’s so shiny! The gray I assume is mink? Again these would be Chicago purchased.

    Thanks in advance

The second one is mink. I am having a hard time seeing the fur on the first one

Thank you! I assumed both mink but then thought maybe the dark one could be sable. Here are some more pics of the darker one.

I think they are both mink. Sable has wider pelts and is very soft.

Thank you for your replies, I know it is hard to tell from photos but the brown is so much softer and shinier than the gray but I know nothing about fur and thought I’d double check! But it makes sense given what my grandmother said. I’m finding a lot of treasures including her 1920’s wedding gown!
