I love glitzy special occasion clothes from the 80s and 90s, so it was really hard to choose only five! But here goes ...

Colin Stuart is one of my all-time favorite designers and these boots were an incredible vintage find. Sold from my Poshmark closet.

Adele Simpson is another favorite American designer. IMO, she doesn't get nearly enough credit for her beautiful work. If I were a tiny girl - I'm not! - I'd sure wear this vintage 90s cocktail dress. Size XS. Available in my Thrilling shop.

Every party needs a Hollywood glamor, goddess-style jumpsuit! Circa Y2K by Faviana. Size Medium. Available in my Thrilling Shop.

From what I can tell, Sondro is a specialty boutique shop in Florida (formerly Boca Raton and now Deerfield Beach) for custom made gowns and evening wear. Their party dress from the 90s has everything an over-the-top vintage lover could want - ribbon lace, rhinestone trim and organza ruffles. Size 8. Available in my Etsy shop.

According to Wikipedia, NY-based Vivienne Tam's designs pay homage to her heritage through her incorporation of Chinese cultural symbols in her work. This highly embellished evening top features a beaded phoenix that cascades from the shoulder almost to the end of the sleeve. Sold from my Poshmark closet.

I wore this fringed 1940s gown many years ago to a black tie affair. I regret selling it since it fit so well.

And this one I would wear in a heartbeat. From my sold archives.

Thank you! It's really incredible in-person. I have another Helga peau de soie gown in fuchsia - both were custom-ordered from her salon in Bullock's Wilshire for models to wear in a commercial along with 3 other gowns in similar jewel tones. All complimentary solid colors, but all different styles. The art director's wife liked these two, so he took them home for her. I acquired them from her daughter, who was a childhood friend.
