Hello! I’m selling these pieces for a really amazing friend of mine, she’s like a mother figure in my life and I want to try and make this a fun experience for her.

Jewelry is a bit outside my realm I’m learning but still not totally confident in identifying pieces like these.

any insight or resources you’d be willing to share to identify pieces like these would be amazing!! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and I’m excited for any replies!

looks like you have 4 pieces: a pendent locket, a double strand pearl necklace, a triple strand pearl (necklace) and a more ethnic beaded necklace?

If you can get her to share her stories about the pieces that could help. were they hers? her mothers? were they a gift for a special occasion (can help getting a date more accurate that way sometimes...)

The ethnic piece reminds me of some Tibetan pieces we handled in the 1990s, although it may be older, but that clasp reinforces the 90s thinking. It may be horn, or bone, or it (hopefully not) could be ivory.

for the pearl pieces: are they knotted, that is, are there little knots tied between each pearl (sorry, my eyes don't work so good anymore...)

Caleb, do any of those pieces have any maker marks? That would help us evaluate. I'm particularly curious about the two pearl pieces. Do the pearls have some loss of the coating?

The woman who sent me these is in her 70s. These are her mother's I believe she told me the pieces are likely 60s and earlier.
I was also thinking Tibetan or something in that realm for the little bottle.
The pearl pieces are knotted in between.
    Thank you!!!

The long double strand has a "835" marking on the back of the clasp.

    The Choker has no markings.

    Thank you so much! :)

The "835" is a European use of silver, which means it is 83.5% silver. That's not as high as the 925 we are accustomed to in the US, but it still has value. I like the two pearl pieces, mainly because of the pretty clasps.

835 is the purity hallmark of European silver, which is 83.5% silver and 16.5%, copper. That tells you that the pearls are European but not where or when they were made. It's possible the pearls in the double strand necklace are cultured pearls.

The bracelet looks like it's "costume" jewelry to me, but you might want to take all the pearl pieces to a jeweler, to find out before you sell them.
