Help Dating Vintage Jacket

Looking for help dating this beautiful brocade open jacket with a cape/collar on the back. Per my research about the brand, Bradleys Chepstow Place LTD London -- the brand was almost completely destroyed post-WW2 and then closed for good in the early 1950s. Its heyday was between 1900-1940. I am unfamiliar with this style, so in addition to dating it, if you can help me find the right keywords to describe the style (especially, the cape), I would be grateful!

That is a lovely and interesting garment. At first it looked to be more contemporary than 1950, maybe 1970s to 1990s. But that cannot be the case as you stated. Perhaps this was lounging attire, maybe 1930s with that loose fit and flutter sleeves. I could see it worn with wide leg pants or lounging pajama bottoms (not for sleeping). The fabric seems to have a Japanese influence to it. I am really not at all sure of the age, but wanted to at least comment on how lovely it is and the fabric is beautiful.

I am curious to see what others here think.

thank you for sharing your thoughts! I wondered that, too, because of the sleeves -- I was likely part of a set, but sadly, I only found the top. I hope someone is familiar with the construction and can enlighten me :)
