"Genuine Cordé" handbag

Hello everyone, today I thrifted this cute handbag. It has got two zippers of metal and a worn label inside that says "Genuine Cordé". Could anyone help me date it? 50s maybe? And could anyone tell me more about "Cordé" handbags? Thank you in advance for your feedback!

I would date yours to the 1940s. What a fantastic find! It is actually made of rayon corde.
