I have several very old shetland lace baby shawls, that are sooooooooo soft and lovely and like Jonathan have never seen a dress made of this. Shetland lace is a knit lace. Sue

I agree with Nicole on this being a polyester double knit. Crimplene tends to have more of a pebbly texture to it. I think this is late 60s, possibly very early 70s. Sue
