NEW TO THE FORUMS? Please introduce yourself here! 2025

Hello, my name is Tiffany. Through my work, I often come across antique items and vintage clothing, which has sparked a deep appreciation and fascination for them. This interest has led me to explore and research vintage designer pieces, delving into their history and craftsmanship. I’m so excited to have found this forum!

Hello! I've been researching thrift shop finds and found myself often being directed to the VFG site, so figured I ought to register! I'm learning how to identify vintage items - mostly because I really enjoy researching the item and finding out what I can about the history. I've done a big closet clear-out recently and am cultivating a new look for myself with vintage finds as much as possible.

Hello!
I’m from the UK new here today. I found this page looking for info on a Dior dress I found. (More on that in another post). I’m so happy to have found this site. I’m a vintage fan and seamstress (amateur) from when my mother made my clothes as a child.

Hi I’m Kim and have been collecting vintage clothing off and on for over 15 years. I am finally going to start selling online and before I do I want to learn from others because I find it all very intimidating. The cleaning, the repairing, the measurements, the listing! Ha. I seriously have to start selling the things that fit me 12 years ago but don’t anymore so hoping I can get inspired by others here.

Hello everyone, I'm Mell, lovely to be here with you all. I came upon your site while searching for info on a vintage Pierre Cardin green & white suit lined (cropped hemmed pants) recently damaged due to a flood. Would love to find a replacement somewhere. I've attached a picture
I love all things vintage as it reminds me of my Mum! I loved her hats, pinafores and the crisp sculpted lines of the dress bodices.
