I've washed crystal pleats and they remain. Beautiful dress and certainly worth the dry cleaning costs.

I would wash them and maybe the color will bleed onto the legs or at least even it out some. This coming from someone who has destroyed loads of vintage.....

It's time DC got a little fashion forward. Did anyone see what Mrs McCain was wearing? It looked like a beautiful royal blue suit. I loved what Mrs (Dr) Biden was wearing. She looked like a million dollars no matter how old she is. I didn't look that good when I was 20. chris

One problem I have encountered with a lined dress is the acetate or the outer fabric drawing up. Never do they BOTH draw. I've ruined some very cute dresses...my speciality. Chris

I would say 60s. That was a popular fabric and color at that time. It looks to me like an evening coat.
