Beautiful dress and great photos! Vacillating between mid to late 50's. Thinking it might be late 50's due to the shorter hemline but I'm not great at dating so don't go by me! I would call it a capelet collar.

That certainly is a high price for that sweater! I think the fact that it is black and a nice size made it a little more desirable. We're also getting close to VLV so maybe that had something to do with it. Then there is just plain luck that two people just had to have it.
